ABSTRACT
Mekar Jaya area dominant rock altered. Mineralization is found in rocks that have been
altered and also present in the quartz veins. Induced polarization (IP) method is used to obtain
subsurface information related mineralization, measuring of the induced polarization effect,
information obtained is chargeability value. Results of processing and analysis chargeability value
with correlation geological surface data, the conclusion can be made. Line Skb 3 response
chargeability values range from ± 200 to ± 800 m.sec, these zones are indicated mineralized zones
suspected galena mineralization and mineral associations. Line Skb 5 response chargeability values ±
150 m.sec , this line cross outcrops of quartz veins containing galena minerals, indicated there is a
zone of galena mineralization and mineral associations were relatively weak. Based chargeability
values, the geological model subsurface to indicated mineralized zones of galena and mineral
associations which direction reltive distribution Northwest-Southeast accordance with conditions of
the research area.
