ABSTRACT

The research was provoked by the great number of four-whell and two-whell vehicles with various suspension systems. The research question is “Do the movement of center of gravity and the increasing number of passengers influence dynamic response on vehicle transient?”. It aimed at figuring out the influence of center of gravity and the number of passenger toward the dynamic response on vehicle transient. The model of half car with three seats was used in this research. The parameter data derived from one of international journals. The research method used mathematic analytic by numeric software with Simulink integration. The response graph showed that the movement of center of gravity and the increasing number of passengers influenced the dynamic response of vehicle transient. The farer center of gravity from the mass center, the greater responses of displacement, velocity, and acceleration from the mass are. The greater number of passengers, the lower the responses on displacement, velocity, and acceleration from the passenger seat are.
